Overview
Founded in 2007, the Cornell International Affairs Review (CIAR) is a biannual, student-edited academic journal at Cornell University dedicated to publishing student and expert scholarship on contemporary international affairs and international relations.
We are looking to recruit associate editors with strong English skills and interests in academic research and international affairs/international relations. Only undergraduate students currently enrolled at Cornell University and studying at the Ithaca campus may apply.
As an associate editor, in the first few weeks of school, you will help us review submitted manuscripts, select manuscripts for publication, and perform cite checks. Once the final articles for publication have been selected, smaller teams of editors will each be assigned a single article to focus on and edit. We work closely with the author or authors to make substantive revisions in regard to argumentation, organization, evidence, grammar, and writing style.
We strongly recommend consulting our FAQ page before you apply. If you have further questions, email us at editor@cornelliar.org.
